2018 Faves I’m Bringing Into 2019!
Hey everyone and welcome to 2019! I am so glad to have you back on my page. Today we are going talk about my faves of 2018 that I love enough to bring into 2019. I tried A LOT of products in 2018 and most were good but these are GREAT and I continue to use them everyday.
Disclaimer: Links to all products are included in each title and I wouldn’t recommend buying anything I didn’t stand behind and use myself 😉
Let’s Start with Skincare
A special brand named Adeline Campbell was kind enough to take a chance on a new beauty blogger to spread the word about their amazing products and I am honored! They gave me a coupon code: NATURALREDHEAD20 that saves you 20% OFF your entire purchase!! If you use the link attached to each product (same link for both), your discount will automatically be applied at checkout. They are an amazing brand that value quality over anything else. They also use their platform to help women in need which is truly inspiring. If you get nothing else from this post, at least check them out and get yourself some goodies!
Adeline Campbell Anti-Aging Cream $40.00 ($32.00 with discount): This amazing brand was recommended by a friend who was using their face cream and loved it enough to suggest I try it. It was a no-brainer since she also has sensitive skin and I just trust her opinion. It did not disappoint and I am currently working on my second tub of it. It smells so refreshing and feels AMAZING! It is probably my #1 favorite out of all the products I am telling you about. It is just made with top quality ingredients and it shows. I put this on and it is a real treat for my skin. Like yummy frosting for your face. I look healthy and moisturized to the Nth degree when I use this (which is usually morning and night). I couldn’t recommend this enough to you guys!!!
Adeline Campbell Rose Quartz Roller $36.00 ($28.80 with discount): Facial rollers have become a large part of people skincare routines in 2018 and this beautiful one should become part of yours! Rose Quartz is naturally cool in temperature so you can refrigerate it or not. It is used to help aid in product absorption, which in turn improves product efficacy. It also helps reduce inflammation which is great for sensitive or angry skin. It promotes lymphatic drainage, reduces under eye dark circles, eliminating toxins and refining pores. Does it get much better than that? Not really! The box provides instructions on how to use it on the face for optimal results.
Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser $82.00 (125 ml): I have talked about this cleanser in my Nighttime Routine post so check that out if you haven’t. I really enjoy the gritty texture of using this when I’m in need of a little deeper clean. You apply this on dry skin and rub it in, then rinse it off with warm water. I usually use a terry cloth washcloth to remove.
Wildflower Beauty by Jessica Honey Almond Goat Milk Soap $7.00: I stumbled upon this little shop in Winter Garden, Florida and found this gem! It is a gentle cleansing soap that I use every day and especially when I am feeling extra sensitive. This soap is so popular that they even limit the amount you can purchase (at least in store).
Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator $22.00 (4 oz): This is another one that I have written about before and can’t get enough of. I tried to switch to another similar product for the sake of trying new things and I just had to go back! I am on my third bottle and I am sure, not my last. This refreshing mist is great for before or after make-up, and anytime your skin needs a little pick me up. When paired with skincare, it helps increase the rate and amount of product absorption.
Josie Maran Luxury Skincare Kit $69.00: If you like luxe products, this one is for you! I watched QVC once in my whole life and managed to order something within 10 minutes…Impressive, I know! It includes 1-fl oz Pure Argan Milk, 1.6-oz Divine Drip Argan Oil and Honey Sleeping Nectar, 2-fl oz Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 Protect and Perfect, 0.55-oz Argan Color Stick in Rosey. All 4 products are amazing and I use 3/4 every day, including the Argan Milk. I am OBSESSED with the Tinted Moisturizer and Color Stick and use them all the time. They are some of my absolute favorites of 2018!
BambuEarth Everything Balm $18.00: Herbal-infused Everything Balm forms a protective, breathable barrier that effectively moisturizes, calms and soothes dry, irritated, and inflamed skin (www.bambuearth.com). This rich, nourishing balm is gentle and perfect for my fellow eczema warriors. You can put it anywhere, including your face. It is great for using overnight to ensure your skin is protected and hydrated.
Earthley Exfoliating Skin Cream $9.99: This is probably the most interesting of all the products because the name isn’t necessarily intuitive. At first I assumed it was a face cream given it is called a “skin cream”. Spoiler alert: It’s not but this isn’t a bad thing. It is a blend of very smooth oils mixed with gritty raspberry seed powder for exfoliation. You can leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse it off. It leaves your skin feeling hydrated and is great for soothing angry skin. This brand is also extremely affordable which only adds to its greatness!
That wraps up skincare, let’s move on to some other wellness products!
Rustic Maka Luna Bliss Deodorant $11.00: Natural deodorant is a tough one to navigate because there are so many options and you don’t know if they work until it’s too late…and you’re stinky! I have been there one too many times and this deodorant was a game changer. This was another recommendation and also didn’t disappoint! It smells so delicious and lasts for a much longer time than I am used to. It is baking soda free which is a deal-breaker for me. It is sensitive and efficient which is rare when it comes to deodorant. I wish I had found it sooner!
Pacifica Beauty Underarm Deodorant Wipes with Coconut Milk & Essential Oils $6.19: These may seem like a weird product but they were also a game changer in the pit department. These wipes are great for on-the-go hot, sweaty days when you need a little help not smelling. I keep a pack in my purse because I am extra sweaty these days (post hormone injections). They come in a 10 or 30 pack and can be found at Target or on Amazon. They smell so tropical but not overpowering at all. They really help you feel fresh again and are great in a pinch!
Tree to Tub Shea Butter for Body Lavender $18.00: This was a random gem I found on Amazon and I just ordered my 4th bottle! If that isn’t a testament to how much I love it, I don’t know what is. It is a fairly light-weight lotion but actually leaves you feeling moisturized. It has a light lavender scent but also comes in unscented for those who prefer it. I use this all over my body, every day and haven’t even thought about trying anything else to be honest. It’s effective and I can order it on Amazon so it’s a win-win.
Cora Femine Care Products $5.99-9.99: So this one may be an unexpected mention but it is a very important one! A lot of conventional feminine care products contain ingredients that you couldn’t even imagine…Ingredients that can also be found in CAR TIRES!!! Horrifying right? The truth is, just because a brand makes certain products, doesn’t mean they are safe for us. It wouldn’t be a stretch to suggest that these dangerous chemicals or ingredients can contribute to a lot of women’s, myself included, fertility issues. That is why I made the switch to 100% cotton feminine care products to ensure I am doing the most for my health. Cora is an organic brand that Target actually carries, which is awesome! They sell the full range of pads, tampons, liners, etc and are all competitively priced. I threw out all my conventional brand products and now only stock my house with organic feminine products. I have tried a couple different brands and so far Cora has been my favorite. I highly recommend you ladies make the switch to protect yourself and your temple!
