About Me

My name is Marielle Ramirez-McCreedy, I am 29 (almost 30!!) years old and have a love for all things beauty. I have been married for 4 years and have every intention of starting a family. My obsession with makeup definitely started very young and I have yet to grow out of it. It actually gets worse by the day! I decided I would turn this obsession into something I can share, that will hopefully educate, entertain and help others.

I am 100% Puerto Rican with red hair, green eyes and every other recessive gene possible. Chronic eczema, asthma, and allergies pretty much sum up my daily struggle and led me to a green beauty lifestyle. It also led to my beautiful sphynx cat named Kitty, whom I am sure will make many appearances throughout my blog adventure. He is also an obsession that grows daily, and his face is my favorite thing to look at but I digress….

My career thus far has been in healthcare, diagnostic and interventional radiology to be specific. Although I do love being an integral part of helping others, makeup and beauty related things has always had my heart. The stress of my work environment definitely did not help my eczema and I’m pretty sure, made it worse. Makeup serves as an outlet for me and I can absolutely get lost in hours of YouTube makeup tutorials without an ounce of guilt. I do not have any formal training but if online makeup tutorials counted for anything, I would be a guru.

I am starting this blog to bring my struggles and transition to green beauty to light. The goal is to let anyone struggling with the same issues know that they are not alone and there is a light at the end of the skin-struggle tunnel. By no means is my skin perfect or the best version of itself, but it is leaps and bounds from where it started. For over 2 years, I could barely stand living in my own skin and I mean that in the literal sense. It was red, inflamed, itchy, flaky and painful, ALL the time. I couldn’t walk outside without someone telling me, “your skin is so red”. Nice, right? Like i didn’t already know what my own face looked like. Nothing makes you feel better than getting that on a daily basis and I desperately needed a change. My family has lived my struggle with me and have learned the toll eczema can take on someone not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well. Hopefully this blog can help others secretly or publicly struggling with chronic eczema or any issue of self-love.

My cousin had started to try green beauty products and suggested I do the same. I started small and now 95% of all my skincare and makeup are certified organic. Green beauty along with months UVB light treatments has taken my skin from unlivable to pretty lovable. I’ve tried A LOT of different brands and products with no intention of stopping. Why not turn my spending habit into something useful? I am always open to new suggestions on thing to try. You don’t have to twist my arm to get me to buy beauty products, just ask my husband. Green beauty products tend to be on the pricey side so I am happy to take on the job of trying things first to help other decide if it is worth purchasing.

The goal is to bring you green beauty product reviews, first impressions, possible makeup tutorials, and overall life experiences along with anything else you, as the reader, would like to see.

I hope you enjoyed this little intro into my life and want to stick around for the journey!
